Kazuchika Okada’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling expires at the end of January. It’s been reported that WWE is interested in Okada.
As we previously reported here on eWn, the contract talks between Okada and New Japan Pro Wrestling usually would have taken place by now, but Okada is now seriously considering the option of wrestling for another promotion.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that while he believes the story of Okada potentially leaving NJPW for either WWE or AEW is slightly exaggerated, WWE has expressed interest in Okada for several years and those in WWE do believe that maybe there’s a better chance of getting him now than before.
