According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is slated to portray Mark Kerr, a two-time UFC Heavyweight Tournament Champion, in “The Smashing Machine.”
The film will be written and directed by “Uncut Gems” director Benny Safdie. A24 will be financing the movie, the same studio that made “The Iron Claw” about the Von Erich family.
Kerr earned the nickname “The Smashing Machine” because of his style inside the Octagon.
