AEW Women’s World Champion has said she may not have overcome her fear of heights if not for WWE RAW Superstar IYO SKY.
SKY was called-up to WWE’s main roster at SummerSlam 2022, aligning with the returning Bayley, who had been out injured for a year, and the previously-released Dakota Kai.
It had been reported that SKY was expected to leave WWE later this year when her contract ran out, though that seems unlikely now.
Speaking to Adrian Hernandez on KXST 1140 The Bet Las Vegas, Thunder Rosa recalled being trained by IYO SKY.
“I’m not afraid of anybody or anything. IYO SKY, or Io Shirai, who was one of my trainers, that’s one of them. She was like, one of the main women that made me not be afraid of heights.
“Made me not be afraid of jumping off the top rope. She forces us to get out of our comfort zone.”
SKY will team with Kai and Bayley to face RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss at WWE Clash at the Castle.
Thunder Rosa will defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Toni Storm at AEW All Out 2022.
