Thunder Rosa To Return To Independent Wrestling At CineMania Event

AEW’s Thunder Rosa will make her return to the world of independent wrestling as part of the upcoming CineMania event.

CineMania, a crossover event between Lucha x Lucha and Combat Cult will take place on February 4. Rosa will be joined by AEW & ROH talent for the event.

CineMania is a collaborative effort between Combat Cult and the LuchxLucha Podcast. Stars from AEW and ROH will step into the ring with some of the best talent Texas has at the Historic Cine El Rey Theater, including the return of former AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa to the indies!! The event is February 4th in McAllen, TX.

Combat Cult is a wrestling promotion based in Weslaco that brings entertainment to the Mid-Valley. Owner and operator Eddie Garza is a Weslaco native and a big wrestling fan. He wants to bring what he loves to the city he loves. Talent from all around Texas come to perform for our wonderful audience, ranging in all ages.

LuchaxLucha Podcast is hosted by Alvaro Riojas, who has been in the wrestling scene for years. Started by wrestling in the ring and training the next batch of stars. He now does the podcast as well as Spanish commentary for AEW and ROH.

About Cine El Rey Theater :
Cine El Rey Theater is a historical entertainment venue in McAllen, Texas. It is regarded as being “the best venue in south Texas”. It was built by Interstate in 1948, under the design of W.E. Crawford. The Cine El Rey served McAllen’s Hispanic community for 40 years before closing down in 1988. Many of Mexico’s greatest performers made personal appearances on its stage. The Cine El Rey was later restored in 2001, now serving the newly revitalized Downtown District.
