WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil has said that everyone deserves a family in response to questions about adopting his daughter.
While speaking to Wrestling Inc, Titus discussed his daughter, who is gay, and how some homophobic members of his family now refuse to speak with him.
“I have a daughter who I just adopted. She’s 16 years old and she’s openly gay. One person asked me, ‘How does it feel to have a gay daughter?’ ‘Well how does it feel to have a straight son?’
“I’ve known her since she was seven or eight years old. I adopted her because she’s a great human being. She deserves a dad. What her sexual preference is, I’m not there to damn her or demean her.”
Titus recently revealed that he has been in talks about an in-ring return, nearly two years after his last sanctioned match for WWE.
O’Neil’s charitable work and ambassador role earned him the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame Warrior Award.
