As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, the Motor City Machine Guns’ TNA contracts are expected to expire at the end of this month. Both Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are not booked for April’s post-TNA Rebellion TV tapings.
Pwinsider is reporting that the Motor City Machine Guns fulfilled their commitment to the company at Saturday night’s TNA Impact tapings. Sabin and Shelley received a “pretty emotional sendoff” at the TV tapings.
Shelley and Sabin will become free agents on April 1, and the team is not expected to be back in TNA although the door is open for a potential return in the future.
The Motor City Machine Guns are reportedly expected to have multiple companies interested in their services once they hit the free agency market. Neither Shelley nor Sabin has responded to individual queries about their status.
