Tony Khan Takes Shot At WWE, Jokes About A Wednesday Night War Documentary

Tony Khan recently spoke to Brandon Walker of Rasslin, focusing on the past “war” with NXT and the shocking reunion of the Undisputed Era that happened in AEW.

Khan confirmed that for him, the right decision is to maintain the on screen dissentions between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly, since they had a brutal feud in WWE shortly before joining AEW and said that their arrival has done well for the company: “They still have issues, when they came in, obviously, it’s a proven act. We have done great numbers.”

He then mentioned the numbers again, and jokingly took a shot at WWE: “The only time in the demo, in the Wednesday Night War, which, somebody told me, and it’s good advice, maybe we should make our own documentary of the Wednesday Night War. Like a one-sided documentary. I think it’s a really good idea,” he said with a smile. “We could call it like 76 to 1 or 75 to 1. The one involved Adam Cole in a huge match and most of the good quarters, I thought he was such an important part of it, but also, you can’t overlook Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish. When Bobby Fish came in, it made total sense. Are we not going to put Bobby Fish and Adam Cole back together?”
