Tony Schiavone has had a tremendous career as one of professional wrestling’s greatest commentators of all time. He’s better known for his work with World Championship Wrestling (WCW), serving as the voice of the promotion during the Monday Night Wars. On a recent episode of his podcast, “What Happened When,” Schiavone did a Q&A with his listeners.
One of the questions asked Schiavone what match does he wish he could’ve called that he was unable to. He named The Rock and Hulk Hogan’s match from WrestleMania 18:
“I would have loved to have called the [Hulk] Hogan [vs.] Rock from WrestleMania match,” said Schiavone. “I think that would have been a lot of fun. Talking about the history of Hulk Hogan, and being in Toronto, and I never got to call a Rock match. I really think [calling] that match would have been great.”
