Brock Lesnar is confirmed for WWE’s Day 1 pay-per-view event and will be getting a WWE Universal Championship shot against Roman Reigns.
During the opening segment of this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Lesnar was cutting a promo when he was interrupted by Sami Zayn who said he was the #1 contender for the title after winning a battle royal last week. This led to Lesnar forcing Zayn into facing Roman Reigns for the Universal Title in the main event of SmackDown.
In the main event, Roman Reigns defeated Sami Zayn in quick fashion so he’ll go on to face Brock Lesnar at Day 1, which takes place on January 1st in Atlanta, GA.
Big E. vs. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship will also be taking place at Day 1.
