As noted earlier here on eWn, Ashante Adonis is now out of the Dusty Rhodes Tag-Team Classic tournament and will be replaced. Following the brutal assault by Karrion Kross, WWE officials removed him from the tournament and have rescheduled the first round match that would’ve taken place on this Friday night’s WWE 205 Live broadcast. Ashante “Thee” Adonis and Desmond Troy vs. Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari was the scheduled match. No word on who will replace Adonis at this time.
During Wednesday night’s WWE NXT broadcast, Kushida and Leon Ruff defeated The Way (Austin Theory & NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano), while Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado) defeated Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel). Ruff and Kushida will now face The Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) in the quarterfinals. Lucha House Party will face Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza) in the second round of the tournament.
