It was noted in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that former UFC fighter and current Evolve star Matt Riddle recently met with HHH and is expected to be in NXT soon. He will not be featured on the upcoming WWE Network cruiserweight show, but rather on NXT TV.
EVOLVE addressed the report with this statement:
Matt Riddle has been the subject of many rumors in the past week, including what was reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. What we do know is that when the former UFC fighter confronted William Regal at EVOLVE 54 about aWWE contract, Regal told him to focus on winning the EVOLVE Title first. Riddle has made it clear in the past that he sees EVOLVE as his stepping stone. Will he take that step by winning the EVOLVE Title on March 19th?
