In a recent interview with Squared Circlepit, MLW Heavyweight Champion Alex Hammerstone discussed John Cena serving as the inspiration for his return to wrestling in 2008.

Alex Hammerstone on how he used to watching wrestling on public television: “I started watching Sunday Night Heat or Shotgun Saturday Night or whatever was on late on public television because we didn’t have cable TV.”
On how he got back into wrestling in 2008 due to John Cena: “That was mostly because I was into weightlifting and John Cena videos and I started watching him. … I kinda gotta thank good ol’ John for getting me back into wrestling.”
On the latest episode of Busted Open Radio, Impact Wrestling star Mike Bailey labeled himself and Jonathan Gresham as the two best in the world with their respective wrestling styles. He said,
“Jonathan Gresham is the best in the world at his style, and I think I am too, which is very unique, I don’t think there’s quite a lot of people who do it like I do. And that’s why I think the pairing of myself and Gresham is so interesting. We’re both the best in the world at what we do, which is very different.”
Bailey will team with Gresham against Decay on Impact this week.
