Velveteen Dream had been released from WWE after a long absence from television last week. He later issued a statement regarding his exit and the accusations of sexual misconduct.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Dream’s firing had nothing to do with the accusations or anything that was made public about him, but rather he was fired after an incident that one of the top stars reported to management.
Dream stated in his statement that the accusations against him from April of last year were the reason why he was fired.
