Edge vs. Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell match was booked at this year’s WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
The fans were chanting this is awesome right as the match started. They brawled to begin things then Edge tossed him onto the top rope. Rollins fought back with a flying knee strike off the top rope. Rollins missed a dive right into the side of the cell.
Edge tossed him into the cell then the steel steps. Edge grabbed some chairs before hitting a DDT for 2. Rollins blocked Edge using part of the chair and then tried to take out the eye of Edge.Rollins with a sling blade for 2. Back in the ring, Rollins hit him with a chair. Edge locked in the crossface, but Seth got out of it by hitting Edge in the eye with a piece of the chair. Seth tossed the chair in the face of Edge then hit a frog splash for 2. Seth hit the unprettier for 2. Edge pushed Rollins off the top rope through a table outside. The steel steps were brought into the ring and Edge hit a DDT on it.
Edge hit a dive with a chair to Seth on the steel steps. Edge with the buckle bomb and a spear for a near fall. Edge brought in a ladder and hit Seth in the face with it. Rollins used the ladder then set up another table. They brawled on top of a ladder until Rollins hit a powerbomb to Edge through a table for a near fall. Seth with a series of superkicks then a superkick with a chain. Edge hit Seth low with a chair. Edge with superkicks then a stomp to Seth on a chair for the win.
