The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Elimination Chamber PPV event:
Kevin Owens vs. Jey Uso vs. King Corbin vs. Sami Zayn vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro – #1 Contender Elimination Chamber Match
Daniel Bryan and Cesaro started things off. They went for some quick pin attempts. Bryan sent Cesaro to the floor then Bryan hit him with a running dive. Bryan went to the top rope and hit a drop kick. Bryan went for a hurricaronna and hit it. Bryan was selling his left knee and Cesaro caught him with a clothesline. Corbin was next in and went right after Cesaro with strikes. Bryan tried to make the save, but was sent into the chains for his troubles. Corbin hit Deep Six to both Bryan and Cesaro, but couldn’t eliminate them. Corbin dominated them for a few minutes. Zayn was next in, but he didn’t want out of his chamber. Bryan took out Corbin from behind. Zayn talked some trash until Cesaro unleashed on him with uppercuts. Zayn went for a kick, but Bryan moved, and he hit the plastic. Corbin hit a suplex to Bryan. Zayn came back and took out everyone. Zayn got on top of a pod. Zayn and Cesaro brawled on a platform until Cesaro kicked him off. Corbin took out Cesaro then hit a chokeslam to Bryan. Cesaro locked in the sharpshooter on Corbin for the elimination. Owens was next in and went after Zayn. Jey was the last to be in. Owens hit a moonsault off the top of the chamber to everyone. Owens hit a Stunner to eliminate Zayn. Jey smashed the chamber door on the arm of Owens. Jey connected with a splash off the top rope to eliminate Owens. We’re down to three. Cesaro caught Jey with an uppercut then a leg drop for 2. Cesaro hit a gut buster to Bryan, but Jey hit a splash to Cesaro for the elimination. The final two were Bryan and Jey. Bryan with the running knee strike to win the match by eliminating Jey.
Winner: Daniel Bryan
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan
Bryan got him in the Yes Lock right out of the gate. Reigns got out of it and landed a series of right hands before locking in the guillotine choke for the win.
Winner: Roman Reigns
Post-match, Edge hit a spear out of nowhere to Reigns and pointed the WrestleMania sign.
