The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Fastlane PPV event:
WWE Title Match: Daniel Bryan © vs. Kevin Owens vs. Mustafa Ali
Ali was added to this contest right before it started and was heavily booed. Owens and Ali attacked Bryan right out of the gate then squared off. Bryan got back into the ring but was taken out by Owens. Owens landed a series of strikes to Ali then Ali tossed Bryan to the floor. Owens rolled him up for 2 then hit a chop followed up with an outside dive to Bryan and a cannonball. Bryan with a knee strike to the gut of Owens. Ali with a kick to the face of Owens. Ali went to the top rope but Bryan drop kicked him into the barricade.
Bryan with a series of kicks to Owens in the corner then worked over the right shoulder of Owens. Bryan with a running clothesline to take out Owens then taunted the crowd. Bryan with a series of kicks to Owens for 2. Bryan did the same to Ali until Ali hit a running x-factor. Ali with a series of chops to Bryan until Bryan cut him off with a clothesline. Owens avoided a drop kick by Bryan and hit a cannonball to Bryan. Owens with a back splash to Bryan. Owens with chops to Bryan then went to the top rope and knocked him down. Ali with an inverted hurricanrana to Owens and a standing spanish fly to Bryan. Ali went to the top rope for his finisher on Owens but Owens moved and hit a stunner for 2 when Bryan broke it up. Bryan and Owens traded shots until Bryan kicked Owens in the face. Owens with a powerbomb to Bryan for 2. Owens went for one on the apron to Bryan but Bryan hit a back body drop instead. Bryan missed a running knee strike into the post.
Ali with a slingshot to Bryan into the middle rope. Ali with a 450 splash to Bryan on the apron. Erick Rowan got on the apron but ate superkicks by Owens and Ali. Owens with a front senton over the top rope to Rowan. Bryan with a knee strike to Owens and sent him into the ring. Ali with some chops to Bryan then avoided a knee strike and Ali hit a DDT off the top rope to Bryan. Owens with a powerbomb to Ali on the apron. Rowan with a spin kick to Owens and sent Bryan into the ring where he pinned Ali for 2. Ali and Bryan exchanged right hands until Ali went for a spring board move when Bryan hit a drop kick in mid-air for the win.
