UPDATE: WWE issued the following statement regarding Jimmy Uso’s arrest last week (see below), saying,

“Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”

ORIGINAL: Former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso was arrested this week, according to a report by TMZ.

The report states that Uso, real name Jonathan Solofa Fatu, and his wife, fellow WWE superstar Naomi, were in Detroit where they were pulled over after Naomi was driving the wrong direction on a one-way street.

It was noted in the police report that their 2018 Dodge Journey reeked of booze, which led to officers to ask Naomi to get out of the car. As a result, Jimmy got out of the car even though the police told him to remain in the vehicle. This was when he took off his shirt and jacket and squared up like he wanted to fight.

However, after the officer took out his taser, Jimmy settled down and was handcuffed. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction. He was taken to jail and later posted bond.

The Usos are slated to challenge Shane McMahon and The Miz for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event on February 17, 2019 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
