WWE NXT 2.0 Superstar Nikkita Lyons has said that she was “surprised” that her split-leg pinfall went viral following her debut.
During the February 22, 2022 episode of NXT 2.0, Lyons defeated Kayla Inlay, pinning the young Superstar with a split-pin that fans shared across social media.
Appearing on the Out of Character podcast to talk about her current success, Lyons said she was taken aback by the reaction to the pin:
“I was very surprised honestly. I thought maybe a little buzz but I was not expecting World Star, I was not expecting that reaction. I was blown away because it’s funny that it really was that pin that went viral. My finisher is the Tornado Kick, I did the split pin and it’s funny because I told the coaches ‘I just want to try this. I don’t know, it might work, it might get over, I don’t know.’ And it did and I was extremely surprised.”
Lyons is undefeated since joining NXT 2.0, boasting a 6-0 win streak.
