According to sources, Wade Barrett’s stock within WWE went up big
time as company officials were very happy with his promo at the 2014 Hall of
Fame ceremony. Vince McMahon has also been very high on the “Bad News Barrett”
gimmick. You can expect a big push in the near future. As noted over the
weekend, many people within WWE expect Wade “Bad News” Barrett to defeat Rob Van
Dam on tomorrow night’s WWE RAW broadcast in St. Louis, MO. The feeling is that
Cesaro will interfere costing RVD the match to further the RVD/Cesaro feud. If
that were to occur, it would set up two new matches for the WWE Extreme Rules
pay-per-view next Sunday – Wade “Bad News” Barrett vs. Big E. for the
Intercontinental title and Rob Van Dam vs. Cesaro vs. Jack Swagger in a triple
threat match. They could end up doing just a singles match between RVD and
Cesaro but we’ll have to wait and see.

We noted last week here on the website
that the new WWE NXT announcer – Rich Brennan – is a former studen from Booker
T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion. In an update on Brennan, we’re told his
backround includes prior announcing for the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees
Central Hockey League team as well as the AHL’s Houston Aeros. Prior to those
gigs, he was a Communications Manager for Comcast Sports out of Houston, TX. WWE
officials have been pleased with his recent work.
