A number of German newspapers addressed that WWE would lose its current TV home deal in the country. According to Pwinsider, TELE 5 will not be renewing its contract with WWE once it expires in March of 2017, even though Raw is one of the most watched programs on the network. Stefan Kastenmüller, General Manager and WWE VP of Europe, also said that Smackdown might move when its current deal with Pro7 Maxx comes to an end in March of 2017 too. However, Kastenmüller said that WWE TV has lots of interest from broadcast, digital and paid subscription channels in the market, so he expects that the company will sign a new deal soon.
