Team Raw (Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley & Austin Theory) vs. Team SmackDown (Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Xavier Woods, Baron Corbin, and Sheamus) in the Men’s Elimination Tag Team Match was booked at this year’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
Owens walked out and was counted out to be the first elimination. Team SmackDown beatdown Theory for a few minutes. Balor came in and ate a suplex by Corbin. Things broke down in the ring as a brawl happened. Corbin with a chokeslam to Theory. Balor with a coup de grace to Corbin for the elimination. Hardy with a series of strikes to Balor before hitting a dive off the top rope. Lashley sent McIntyre into the ring post.
Woods got the hot tag and cleared house until he received a spear and was put to sleep by Lashley. Drew and Lashley started exchanging strikes. Lashley and McIntyre were both eliminated by countout as they brawled to the floor. Sheamus with the big boot to eliminate Balor. Hardy with a splash to Seth for a near fall. Theory rolled up Sheamus for the elimination. Sheamus attacked Hardy, who was his partner. Hardy eliminated Theory with a swanton bomb. Seth and Jeff traded pin attempts down the stretch. Hardy hit twist of fate then went for the swanton bomb, but Seth put the knees up and hit the stomp for the win.
