Booker T competed hundreds of times during his career with WWE, but there is one match that stands out to the legend above all the rest.
On a recent edition of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T was asked about his favorite match, which came against Rey Mysterio in 2006. He said,
“For me, it would probably be Rey Mysterio, winning the world championship as King Booker. I have had a lot of matches in WWE, but that’s the one match to me that stands out in my mind more than any other, man.
“Because Rey was flawless that night, man. Just watching him do his stuff. I was in awe and I was in the ring with him, I was working with him!”
Booker T won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Great American Bash 2006 after Chavo Guerrero turned on Rey and cost him the match.
His reign ended at WWE Survivor Series 2006 when he lost the gold to Batista. The Animal had vacated the title in January of that year due to injury.
