Freddie Prinze Jr. recently took to his “Wrestling With Freddie” podcast to comment on The Rock’s return to WWE during the lead-up to WrestleMania 40.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
On The Rock’s return to WWE: “It has been a really damn good story. I don’t want to say it’s better than the Sami Zayn-Bloodline storyline, because it’s so different, it’s hard to compare the two; it’s like comparing dessert to dinner.”
On Rock standing in Rhodes’ way at WrestleMania 40: “I feel like all this stuff has to be the ultimate obstacles put in place in order for Cody to overcome them and reach the top of the mountain.”
Ace Steel previously worked at the WWE Performance Center, and he recently spoke on the “Developmentally Speaking” podcast to comment on his time at WWE’s developmental facility, being able to work with the coaches there, and more.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
On his time at the PC: “I loved working at the Performance Center. I love coaching more than I love wrestling … I love it because I get to hand everything that I’ve got — every little trick of the trade — to someone and hope that it works out for them. It might not always work out.”
On being able to work with the coaches there: “I got to work with the top coaches in the world. Never in my wildest dreams would I think I’d be working with Robbie Brookside, one of the best British wrestlers ever, or Norman Smiley, another phenomenal wrestler, and that eventually turned into working with Terry Taylor, Fit Finlay, Steve Corino.”
On producing as well as coaching: “I love the fact that [I can be] training with someone for how many ever weeks and [take what we worked on] and put that in the match.”
