Pitching IShowSpeed’s WrestleMania 40 involvement took a delicate approach by Logan Paul, the reigning WWE U.S Champion has revealed.
At WrestleMania 40, Speed, a popular YouTuber dressed as a PRIME Energy bottle and aided Paul in his title match with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.
On a recent edition of his “ImPaulsive” podcast, Paul recalled how it took ‘finesse’ to get WWE on board with the idea of using IShowSpeed. He said,
“When I was pitching him (IShowSpeed) to the WWE, it took a little massaging, it took a little finessing for us to convince them that we had this young creator who by the way is still a teenager. The kid’s 19 years old, who’s just an internet phenom. Everything he touches goes crazy viral because he’s got that charismatic, contagious energy. I don’t know.”
Speed would take an RKO from Randy Orton at WrestleMania 40. During a recent stream, he suggested a WWE event that’d exclusively see content creators in action.
