A recent profile piece published by NBC News has elucidated Vince McMahon’s life after he resigned as the Chairman of WWE and TKO. In addition to his resignation, the article also explored the ongoing lawsuit filed against Mr. McMahon for sexual assault and sex trafficking by former WWE employee, Janel Grant. The report also indicated that McMahon has been in touch with several notable individuals since his resignation, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, and former United States President Donald Trump.

Several WWE insiders have claimed that Mr. McMahon has not been in contact with the company’s leaders and figureheads ever since he resigned from his post earlier this year. Mark Shapiro also stated last month that Vince “doesn’t come into the office, and he’s not coming back to the company.”

According to sources, McMahon has not been in contact with his daughter Stephanie McMahon-Levesque and son-in-law Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who is the Chief Creative Officer of WWE, regarding company matters. Despite Stephanie’s surprise appearance at WrestleMania 40 (Night Two), it is said that she is currently not involved with WWE.

Additionally, Mr. McMahon is said to be “unfazed” by his ongoing legal battles and has maintained his daily routine. In March, he returned to the United States from the Turks and Caicos Islands on a private plane with seven kittens and a puppy to be adopted by his friends. An anonymous source close to McMahon stated that he is enjoying life and recently took a trip to Italy.

Moreover, Mr. McMahon frequently takes private trips from his Connecticut residence to Manhattan where he dines with friends at high-end restaurants, gets haircuts twice a week at his long-time barber, and regularly attends personal training sessions multiple times a week.

Vince McMahon’s counsel, Jessica Rosenberg, declined to comment on his personal life subsequent to his departure from WWE. Nevertheless, on Tuesday, April 16, she released a statement rebuking the lawsuit filed by Grant, stating, “The lawsuit’s claims are false, defamatory and entirely without merit. We intend to vigorously defend Mr. McMahon and are confident that he will be vindicated.”

Regarding the federal investigation into the allegations, an individual close to the former WWE Chairman informed NBC News that Vince is cooperating with authorities.

McMahon is reportedly optimistic that federal officials will not pursue charges against him and that Grant’s lawsuit will be resolved extrajudicially. Federal investigators have reportedly seized McMahon’s phone and are investigating whether federal law was violated with respect to Grant’s allegations.

Last summer, Vince McMahon was served with a federal grand jury subpoena, and in July, a search warrant was executed. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York spokesperson, Nicholas Biase, has declined to comment on the investigation. However, the attorneys representing Grant have stated that they have not engaged in any settlement talks with McMahon, who has been very cautious and guarded lately, and spends much of his time on the phone with his lawyers, strategizing his next moves since Grant filed her lawsuit.

According to NBC News, McMahon has maintained contact with several notable figures, including former President Donald Trump, TKO Board Member Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and John Cena. Although the details of their conversations remain unknown, McMahon has reportedly been in regular contact with these individuals.

It is worth noting that McMahon’s wife, Linda McMahon, previously served as a member of Trump’s presidential cabinet. McMahon also welcomed The Rock as a member of the TKO Board earlier this year before his resignation.

There has been a noticeable shift towards a more relaxed working environment at WWE following recent leadership changes. As per two current employees, Mr. McMahon was known for arriving at the office late in the afternoon and staying until midnight or later, which has not been the case lately. McMahon’s office at WWE headquarters in Stamford is reportedly unoccupied but remains largely untouched. One executive described the empty office as “spooky.”

According to sources, there were concerns regarding McMahon’s business management style at the company. The disgraced former Chairman tended to act capriciously and exhibit a quick trigger finger when terminating employees, creating an environment of fear and insecurity among the staff.

However, it is reported that since the leadership transition, the company culture has become more open and receptive to suggestions, with a greater tolerance for mistakes. The current WWE leadership reportedly follows a more conventional approach, providing underperforming employees with progress reports and opportunities to improve before any action is taken.

Some individuals who are loyal to Vince McMahon remain within the company. However, one employee stated that McMahon tended to detract from WWE’s reputation as a positive workplace. Another employee mentioned that people feel more confident and secure in their roles following Vince’s departure from WWE.

With the sale of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of TKO shares since November of last year, Mr. McMahon no longer holds a controlling interest in WWE.
