On a recent edition of “The MMA Hour” podcast, former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle discussed his relationship with his RK-Bro partner Randy Orton and how they hit it off.

RK-Bro was initially formed in April 2021. After Orton incurred a serious back injury in May 2022, the team went on hiatus, although Riddle carried on the gimmick.

However, during Orton’s hiatus, RK-Bro was disbanded after Riddle was released from WWE in September 2023.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On teaming with Randy Orton: “We wrestled, we tagged, and we just hit it off. The crowd was really behind us. … Once we started teaming up, we just kept it going, but the original plan was for him to turn on me.”

On Orton not liking him at first: “I stayed in touch with him. [At first] he didn’t like me at all. I remember even when I was in NXT, he would make comments. And then I won the tag titles with Pete [Dunne], he was like, ‘I still don’t like you, but I get it.’ He said that via Twitter.”
