Bayley must have felt slighted by WWE’s WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event, at least according to former WWE Superstar Mickie James.
While the event featured several top WWE names, including men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes, Bayley, the women’s Rumble winner, wasn’t featured.
On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, James discussed this omission and praised the Role Model of WWE. She said,
“I would’ve been a bit slighted. I felt like it was a bit of a slight in a sense, not just to the women’s division but to her… She’s probably the best female worker there. I think that she’s been a constant [on programming]. Everything that she does is so good… She’s just a leader.”
Thunder Rosa agreed with James’ sentiment, saying that omitting Bayley is a black mark on the Kickoff event.
Bayley will challenge former Damage CTRL ally IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 40.
