Rhea Ripley spoke with Denise Salcedo following the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event to discuss a variety of topics, including the surprise appearances in the women’s Royal Rumble match. As many of you know by now, Naomi, Liv Morgan, Jade Cargill, and Jordynne Grace all appeared during the bout.
The Nightmare said, “It was surprise after surprise after surprise. I was just standing there watching it, and I’m like, yo, all of these women, they’re competitors. I could easily step in the ring with any one of them, and you would think that I’m in danger, and I love that.”
She continued, “That’s the way that the women’s division is thriving, and it’s all about competition. I live for that. So I was so over the moon and thrilled to see these women going in there and getting the opportunity to shine.”
Dakota Kai also spoke with Denise Salcedo following the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view to discuss her recovery from a torn ACL, how close she is to returning, and more.

On wearing heels at the show and being a step closer to a return: “Yeah, one step. We’re so close. We’re so close, you guys.”
On her goal once she returns: “The goal for me, honestly I’m just excited to get back in the ring. I loved watching the Rumble, and obviously Bayley winning, I can’t even explain the emotions. I was so overwhelmed with happiness. I want to get back in the ring so bad. Just watching them all fun, I’m like, ‘Oh god.’ But we’re so close, so I just want to get back into the mix of things physically as a wrestler and just aim high.”
