CM Punk suffered a torn triceps injury during last Saturday’s 2024 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. The unfortunate injury will keep the Second City Saint on the shelf for four to six months.
During the recent WWE NXT: Vengeance Day media call, Shawn Michaels stated that Punk is free to coach talents at the WWE Performance Center while he recovers from injury.

On CM Punk working with talents at the Performance Center: “He’s been down here quite a bit. We’ve talked about … doing [his physical therapy] down here. … We’ve now had the opportunity to speak quite a bit lately, which has been fantastic. He knows these doors are always open to him.”
On the possibility of Punk doing so while he’s recovering from injury: “I think he will take us up on that. [I have] no knowledge, it’s just my personal opinion. And look, I know the talent enjoy having him here. It’s a different perspective than what they get here on a weekly basis. I think that’s healthy.”
