On a recent edition of the “Wrestle Binge” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long criticized Mattel for making his action figure into a ‘build-a-figure’ set. He said,

“Well, they still ain’t putting one out. Mattel’s doing something and I consider it as just racist. You gotta’ buy somebody’s doll and then you may find my head in it. Then you gotta’ go buy another guy’s doll and my waistline may be in that. So they got different parts of me in different people’s action figures. You know what I mean, so come on man.”

The new figure depicts Long during his days as a WWF referee but can only be made by collecting figures of Kevin Nash, Triple H, Rey Mysterio, and fake Diesel.

Long has been outspoken about wrestling figures before and has said he was told by John Laurinaitis that fans wouldn’t want his figure.

In addition to being a referee, Long worked as a manager and General Manager in WWE and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017.
