Live from Greenville, South Carolina, tonight’s main event will see CM Punk put the ‘Real World Championship’ on the line against Ricky Starks, with special guest ringside enforcer Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat.

Plus, FTR will defend the AEW World Tag Team Titles against Big Bill & Brian Cage, while Mercedes Martinez will challenge Kris Statlander for the TBS Championship. All this, an more, on AEW Collision!

We see the pre-show vignettes before kicking off AEW Collision.

#1. AEW World Tag Team Championship – Big Bill & Brian Cage vs FTR – Winners: FTR

FTR fought from underneath to overcome the duo of big men, before Cash & Dax got on the mic to lay down the challenge to the Young Bucks for All In at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

In an interview with Tony Schiavone, Jay White & Juice Robinson introduce and hype up The Gunns.

#2. TBS Championship – Kris Statlander vs Mercedes Martinez – Winner: Kris Statlander

Martinez attacks after Statlander after the match. Diamante rushes to the ring and feigns a save before joining Martinez. Willow Nightingale makes the save.

Tony Schiavone is standing by with Toni Storm. Storm talks about losing her title and what it means. Just because she has lost the AEW Women’s World Championship doesn’t mean she isn’t Toni Storm anymore.

******

#3. Serpentico vs Samoa Joe – Winner: Samoa Joe

Following the match, Joe talks about being the ‘King of Television’ before shifting his focus to All In. What could be bigger that CM Punk vs Samoa Joe. How their last match ended does not really sit right with him, and he wants to change that. MAKE THAT OFFICIAL TONY!!

There’s a short video package featuring Andrade El Idolo.

The Acclaimed are in the ring with Tony Schiavone. They have Billy Gunn’s boots after he seemingly retired last week. Bowens and Caster reluctantly repeat with Gunn and reiterate that Gunn is adamant that he’s retired and blames himself for their loss. Bowens, however, disagrees.

What’s next for The Acclaimed? go from here. Giving back for all that Daddy Ass has done for them. They pay tribute to Gunn with a “scissor.”

#4. AEW World Trios Championship – House of Black vs Action Andretti, Darius Martin & Lee Johnson – Winners: House of Black

After a dominant match, House of Black vs CM Punk & FTR for the Trios titles is made official for next week’s episode of Collision. Hell Yeah!

In a backstage interview with Tony Schiavone, QT Marshall tries to sweet-talk Powerhouse Hobbs, saying that he’ll hand Hobbs the biggest win of his career at AEW All Out. Hobbs doesn’t need it, but he’ll take it.

******

Schiavone is now standing by with the TNT Champion Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Christian’s daughter. Christian takes about being a role model for all children. He despises someone like Darby Allin mentoring Nick Wayne, who doesn’t deserve to be in AEW.

Cage’s daughter asks her dad if she can hold the TNT Championship belt. Christian asks, “did you win this belt??” Does she even have the security clearance to be there? He asks security to kick her out of the building. Brilliant!

#5. Jay White vs Metalik – Winner: Jay White

Quick win for ‘Switchblade.’ The Gunns were on commentary and created a bunch of nuisance, taking the leather chairs and forcing Nigel McGuinness and Ian Riccoboni to stand. So everyone had fun!

******

Jim Ross is out for commentary in the main event. Next up, Ricky Steamboat is introduced as the Special Guest Enforcer at ringside.

#6. Real World Championship – CM Punk vs Ricky Starks – Winner: CM Punk

Toward the finish, the referee got knocked down. Ricky Starks tried to utilize the ropes to pin Punk, but Steamboat shoved his legs off the ropes. This allowed Punk to take the advantage and pin Starks, as counted by Steamboat, for the 1-2-3!

After the match, Steamboat had Punk’s hand raised, before Starks pushed Punk and started attacking Steamboat. Starks keeps on the assault on Steamboat before lashing him with his belt to a chorus of boos. CM Punk makes the save after recovering. The crowd keeps chanting for Punk as he checks on Steamboat and Starks heads back.

Starks turns back midway to again attack Steamboat and Punk, but Punk chases him off with a steel chair. He checks in on Steamboat again as the show goes off the air.

That’s it for tonight folks! Another great episode of AEW Collision! Head over to our live coverage of SummerSlam right here. I’ll of course be back for SmackDown and Collision next weekend! Good night!
