Impact Wrestling Results (8/12/2021)

#1. Tenille Dashwood (w/ Kaleb with a K) vs. Taylor Wilde — Winner: Tenille Dashwood with an assist from Madison Rayne??

What is Madison Rayne doing here? She & Tenille Dashwood laugh and hug it out.

#2. Daivari vs. Josh Alexander — Winner: Josh Alexander

Jake Something gets in Alexander’s face, sending a statement that he’s coming for the X-Division title.

– Impact Wrestling stars are asked who they think will win between Kenny Omega and Christian Cage on Rampage. Sami Calihan thinks it will be Cage, but no one else seems to care. No matter what happens, the Impact World title needs to come back to their show. They want it to come home.

– The Good Brothers blame Violent By Design for making their match a triple threat. Eric Young tells them they are bringing the titles back to them… this place doesn’t belong to them, it belongs to us. Gallows gets in Doering’s face and offers him a match for next week. Young says he just made a mistake, see you next week!

– Kiera Hogan comes to the ring and grabs a mic. Fire N’ Flava was always supposed to be better than that, but let’s address the issue. She thought Tasha was a real one and understood her better than anybody. I guess she thought she could pull a quick one over her by bringing in her goofy ass friend. Tasha already knows what’s up with her, we all know how the song goes. Make sure you know what you want before you ask for it. She calls Tasha out… but it’s Su Yung and Kimber Lee!

Kimber Lee looks scary! She attacks Kiera Hogan, but is stopped in her tracks. Yung has her gross glove and puts it on. At the same, Kimber Lee puts her own on and locks in the Mandible Claw. Su Yung is controlling everything she does. Lee drags Kiera Hogan away by her hair.

#3. FinJuice, Juice Robinson & David Finlay vs. Bullet Club, Jay White & Chris Bey — Winners: FinJuice by DQ after Jay White used a chair

Seems the plan was to take David Finlay out at all costs. He drives his head down hard on to the steel chair and sits on him with the title. The leader of Bullet Club is ready to retain at New Japan’s Resurgence PPV.

– Tasha Steelz says the heatwave was winding down for Kiera Hogan, so somebody had to go. Therefore, she had to make some changes by bringing in Savannah Evans. Fallah Bahh interrupts their interview by asking if they can help him with Rosemary & Havok. They don’t seem too keen to help him out though.

– Deonna Purrazzo has been training with Alesha Zappitella to broaden her repertoire before her match with Melina at NWA Empowerrr. Next week, Melina is going to show what she has to offer.

– Christian Cage is asked about his match on Rampage. He says Kenny has a nice collection of titles going, but he’s here to take all of those. Here’s the thing, next week he will be back in the Impact zone for the first time in years. His history there runs deep, Impact gave him the chance to fight for World Championships on a regular basis, unlike some other places. He became a better wrestler because of it, so he owes something to them. His goal is to return to Impact as the World Champion. For all those guys in the battle royal… good luck, but just know they will be facing the new Impact World Champion Christian Cage.

#4. Matt Cardona vs. John Skylar — Winner: John Skylar after a distraction from Rohit Raju & Shera

#5. [#1 Contender 20-Man Battle Royal] Eddie Edwards vs. Sami Callihan vs. Rhino vs. W. Morrissey vs. Suicide vs. Johnny Swinger vs. Fallah Bahh vs. No Way vs. Hernandez vs. Moose vs. Ace Austin vs. Madman Fulton vs. Willie Mack vs. Rich Swann vs. Brian Myers vs. Sam Beale vs. Trey Miguel vs. Deaner vs. Chris Sabin vs. Petey Williams — Winner: Brian Myers

Honestly, I did not see this coming! Brian Myers gets a World Championship title match. That’s something I never thought I would say. See you next week.
