Welcome to another edition of WWE Recap Report — a breakdown of the biggest takeaways of the week from WWE programming for those who may have missed out.

Whether you need to catch up on a show, had too busy of a week to stay on top of the breaking news or just skipped out on WWE as a whole, I’ve got you covered.

Obviously, not every single thing will be recapped here in detail. But this is your TL;DR of the week to be caught up to speed before the next Monday Night Raw so you’re not left in the dark.

With that being said, here is a quick rundown of this week in WWE.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW

  • Asuka beat Zelina Vega by submission to once again retain the Raw Women’s Championship. Andrade talked trash about Zelina and Angel Garza after the match before losing his own match against Keith Lee by pinfall.
  • R-Truth lost the 24/7 title to Akira Tozawa, who lost it to Drew Gulak, who lost it back again to R-Truth. Later in the night, R-Truth beat both of them in a triple threat to retain the title.
  • Jerry Lawler had the Mysterios on The King’s Court. Aalyah is firmly in the “Murphy isn’t like Seth Rollins” camp and this came into play when she stopped Dominik from hitting Murphy with a kendo stick later in the night, which allowed Murphy to beat Dominik by a roll-up. Aalyah slapped Dominik when he said “Dad was right. You are naive.”
  • Natalya and Lana want a shot at the tag titles, but lost a match to Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke, who are a tag team and both on Raw now.
  • Kevin Owens beat Aleister Black by disqualification after Black hit the referee.
  • Apollo Crews, Ricochet and Mustafa Ali beat The Hurt Business by pinfall.
  • Drew McIntyre retained the WWE Championship over Robert Roode by pinfall.
  • To end the show, Randy Orton attacked Big Show, Christian, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels backstage.

NXT

  • Shotzi Blackheart defeated Dakota Kai by pinfall
  • Santos Escobar and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott had a split-screen promo in opposition of each other.
  • Cameron Grimes had an invitational with hand-picked opponents. He beat “Joey Pistachio” immediately when the bell rang. He was then set to fight “Joey Strong”, who was beaten up on the entrance ramp by Ridge Holland, who came out for a fight. Holland lost by disqualification when he continued to stomp on Grimes and ignored the referee.
  • Kushida defeated Tony Nese by submission.
  • Adam Cole cut a promo on Austin Theory and called him out. Cole beat Theory by pinfall.
  • Kayden Carter defeated Xia Li by pinfall
  • Finn Balor and Kyle O’Reilly had a sit-down face-to-face mediated by Shawn Michaels.
  • Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano beat Io Shirai and Damian Priest by pinfall.

MAIN EVENT

  • Riddick Moss defeated Erik by pinfall
  • Dolph Ziggler defeated Humberto Carrillo by pinfall

NXT UK

  • Kenny Williams earned the wildcard spot in the Heritage Cup tournament by beating Amir Jordan and Ashton Smith.
  • Jinny beat Xia Brookside by submission.
  • Noam Dar beat Alexander Wolfe to advance to round 2 of the Heritage Cup tournament.

FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN

  • The opening promo revolved around Roman Reigns, who will fight Jey Uso again at Hell in a Cell in a match that has stakes we haven’t learned yet.
  • After the match, Jey Uso beat AJ Styles by pinfall.
  • Otis beat John Morrison by pinfall.
  • Sheamus beat Shorty G by pinfall.
  • Kevin Owens had Alexa Bliss on The KO Show in the hopes to try to understand Aleister Black better by talking to her about her dark side. The Fiend attacked Owens and then offered his hand to Bliss, who gave him her hand in return.
  • Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik and Matt Riddle beat Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura and King Corbin by pinfall.
  • Carmella has turned heel and was the mystery woman in the vignettes.
  • Sasha Banks cut a promo about fighting Bayley next week.
  • Sami Zayn retained the Intercontinental Championship over Jeff Hardy by pinfall.
