Obviously, not every single thing will be recapped here in detail. But this is your TL;DR of the week to be caught up to speed before the next Monday Night Raw so you’re not left in the dark.
With that being said, here is a quick rundown of this week in WWE.
MONDAY NIGHT RAW
- Randy Orton challenged Drew McIntyre for a WWE Championship match at SummerSlam. Later, McIntyre accepted.
- Nia Jax called her shot that she deserves a Raw Women’s Championship shot. Shayna Baszler came out and they fought to a count-out draw within moments of their match having started.
- Angel Garza and Andrade beat The Viking Raiders, Cedric Alexander and Ricochet to earn a tag title shot against The Street Profits for SummerSlam.
- Seth Rollins offered a hand to Dominick, who attacked him. Aleister Black tried to help even the 2-to-1 odds, but Rollins and Murphy took out his eye with the steps. Dominick chased them off with a kendo stick. Later, Murphy beat Humberto Carrillo by pinfall.
- Mustafa Ali rejected MVP’s offer to join The Hurt Business and then lost to Bobby Lashley by submission.
- Sasha Banks won the Raw Women’s Championship from Asuka, who was counted out when she went to check up on Kairi Sane, who Bayley was attacking backstage.
- Drew McIntyre beat Dolph Ziggler by pinfall in an Extreme Rules match and then was dropped by Orton with an RKO.
NXT
- Io Shirai and Tegan Nox defeated Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae by pinfall
- Johnny Gargano defeated Roderick Strong by pinfall.
- Mercedes Martinez defeated Shotzi Blackheart by pinfall.
- Ridge Holland will be back in NXT next week and is coming for the North American title.
- Keith Lee called out Karrion Kross, who wants a title shot. Lee told him to name the place and he’d whoop his ass.
- Imperium’s Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel beat Ever-Rise by pinfall and were then attacked by The Undisputed ERA.
- Isaiah “Swerve” Scott defeated Jake Atlas by pinfall
- Dexter Lumis defeated Finn Balor and Timothy Thatcher by submission in a qualifying match for the NXT North American Championship title match at TakeOver XXX.
MAIN EVENT
- Riddick Moss defeated Titus O’Neil by pinfall
- Shayna Baszler defeated Ruby Riott by submission
FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN
- AJ Styles retained the Intercontinental Championship over Gran Metalik by submission.
- King Corbin defeated Drew Gulak by pinfall. Shorty G turned heel and helped Corbin fight Gulak and Matt Riddle after the match.
- Big E defeated The Miz by submission.
- Naomi defeated Lacey Evans by pinfall.
- Sonya Deville attacked Mandy Rose backstage and started cutting her hair before officials came to stop her.
- Bayley retained the SmackDown Women’s Championship over Nikki Cross by pinfall. The Fiend then attacked Alexa Bliss with the Mandible Claw.
