Welcome to another edition of WWE Recap Report — a breakdown of the biggest takeaways of the week from WWE programming for those who may have missed out.

Whether you need to catch up on a show, had too busy of a week to stay on top of the breaking news or just skipped out on WWE as a whole, I’ve got you covered.

Obviously, not every single thing will be recapped here in detail. But this is your TL;DR of the week to be caught up to speed before the next Monday Night Raw so you’re not left in the dark.

With that being said, here is a quick rundown of this week in WWE.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW

  • Seth Rollins started the show by announcing that he will officially face Big E for the WWE Championship at WWE Day 1. Finn Balor came out to attack Rollins. Seth Rollins then defeated Finn Balor by pinfall.
  • Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan traded verbal jabs at their contract signing. The title match will take place next week on Raw.
  • RK-Bro defeated Dirty Dawgs by pinfall to retain the Raw Tag Team Championship
  • Edge’s return promo was interrupted by The Miz and Maryse. The Miz backed away from a fight.
  • The Street Profits defeated Alpha Academy by pinfall.
  • Damian Priest defeated Apollo Crews by pinfall to retain the United States Championship.
  • Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio defeated The Hurt Business (Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin) by pinfall.
  • 10-Woman Tag Team Match: Team Liv Morgan (Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair, Dana Brooke, Nikki A.S.H., Rhea Ripley) defeated Team Becky Lynch (Becky Lynch, Carmella, Doudrop, Tamina and Queen Zelina Vega).
  • Kevin Owens defeated Big E by disqualification due to interference from Seth Rollins. Now, Owens is inserted into the WWE Championship match at Day 1.

NXT

  • Ladder Match: Kay Lee Ray defeated Dakota Kai to earn the advantage for her team at WarGames.
  • Backstage, Grizzled Young Veterans tried to break into the locker of Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs. Jacket Time came over to check out what they were doing and they caused enough of a ruckus to alert Briggs and Jensen, so James Drake and Zack Gibson ran off.
  • Cameron Grimes defeated Andre Chase by pinfall. After the match, Duke Hudson showed doctored photos of what Grimes will look like after he cuts off his hair and beard at WarGames. Grimes then went to shave Chase’s head, but one of Chase’s students saved him from that.
  • Vignette: Edris Enofe was spotlighted ahead of his debut, explaining how he’s out to prove the doubters wrong.
  • Promo: Team 2.0 talked trash about Team Black & Gold. Carmelo Hayes spoke about how they’ve eaten well, but its time for his plate to get filled. Grayson Waller talked about how “Team Hot Dogs & Handshakes” doesn’t know how to be a good sports entertainer in 2021. Bron Breakker is still coming for the NXT Championship after they win at WarGames. Tony D’Angelo says their opponents paved the road, but the road has potholes that need to be filled and they’re going to fill it with their heads. Johnny Gargano came out to tell Breakker to keep their teams away from the ring later tonight. Breakker accepted the challenge.
  • MSK have finally reached the shaman, who isn’t quite revealed yet other than a shadowy figure.
  • Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner defeated Legado del Fantasma by pinfall to earn the tag team title match for WarGames against Imperium.
  • Vignette: Tiffany Stratton is coming soon. In the meantime, she spoke about how her daddy always buys her the hottest clothes and the best cars to drive.
  • Joe Gacy’s All-Inclusive Invitational: Gacy brought out three people to talk about how his idea of the cruiserweight division shouldn’t exclude anyone based on height, weight or gender. Gacy defeated the “short” jobber by pinfall and was about to face the woman in an intergender match until Diamond Mine interrupted. Strong went after Gacy, meaning he won by disqualification. Gacy then hid behind Harland.
  • Solo Sikoa defeated Edris Enofe by pinfall. Boa attacked Sikoa after the match until Enofe helped Sikoa fight him off.
  • In the parking lot, Xyon Quinn spoke to a cameraman and was approached by Elektra Lopez, who wished him good luck in his match next week against Santos Escobar, because he’s going to need it.
  • Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta defeated Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon by pinfall.
  • Vignette: Draco Anthony’s actions will speak louder than anyone’s words.
  • Men’s Advantage Ladder Match: Bron Breakker defeated Johnny Gargano to earn the advantage for Team 2.0

MAIN EVENT

  • T-Bar defeated Akira Tozawa

NXT UK

  • Meiko Satomura defeated Xia Brookside by pinfall to retain the NXT UK Women’s Championship.
  • Rohan Raja asked Charlie Dempsey what’s important to him. He said legacy, heritage and so on. Since he knows that’s important to them, too, that’s why he figured they could use a helping hand. Teoman’s given him the welcome to Die Familie.
  • Backstage, Emilia McKenzie was approached by Blair Davenport, who challenged her to a match and tried to intimidate her and Meiko Satomura.
  • Saxon Huxley defeated Kenny Williams by pinfall due to a distraction by Subculture.
  • Sam Gradwell challenged Sha Samuels to a match next week.
  • Ilja Dragunov defeated Rampage Brown to retain the NXT UK Championship due to referee stoppage after Brown suffered an injury in the match.

FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN

  • Brock Lesnar kicked off the show with a promo about his suspension being lifted, which was immediately interrupted by Sami Zayn. Lesnar coaxed Zayn into having his title match tonight with The Beast Incarnate facing the winner at Day 1. Sonya Deville agreed.
  • Sasha Banks defeated Shayna Baszler by pinfall.
  • Backstage, Adam Pearce spoke on the phone to Sonya Deville about how he doesn’t want to be there in attendance tonight because of Lesnar. Drew McIntyre wants a word with Pearce for not being included in the battle royal last week.
  • Happy Talk with Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss was interrupted by Drew McIntyre and Jeff Hardy (who they had told jokes about). Hardy and McIntyre went after them and sent them packing.
  • Another chapter in the comic book story of Xia Li was told.
  • Los Lotharios defeated The Viking Raiders by pinfall due in part to an unintentional distraction by Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura. Erik and Ivar were mad, but then rocked out with them anyway.
  • Xavier Woods defeated Jey Uso by disqualification after interference from Jimmy Uso. The New Day will face The Usos for the tag titles at Day 1.
  • Charlotte Flair cut a promo on how Toni Storm is not on her level and doesn’t deserve a title shot. Toni Storm then threw a pie in Flair’s face.
  • Sheamus defeated Cesaro by pinfall.
  • Naomi challenged Sonya Deville to a match yet again. Deville agreed, but only when she decides to take off the suit. If she has her ring gear on, that’s one thing, but as long as she has that suit on, she’s a WWE official and her boss, so if she lays a finger on her, Naomi will be fired. Deville then slapped her, knowing Naomi couldn’t strike her back.
  • Roman Reigns immediately retained the Universal Championship over Sami Zayn by submission after Lesnar had tossed Zayn around ahead of time to ensure Reigns would win.

205 LIVE

  • Ivy Nile defeated Erica Yan by submission.
  • Boa defeated Draco Anthony by submission.
  • Julius Creed and Brutus Creed defeated Ikemen Jiro and Kushida by pinfall.
