Welcome to another edition of WWE Recap Report — a breakdown of the biggest takeaways of the week from WWE programming for those who may have missed out.
Whether you need to catch up on a show, had too busy of a week to stay on top of the breaking news or just skipped out on WWE as a whole, I’ve got you covered.
Obviously, not every single thing will be recapped here in detail. But this is your TL;DR of the week to be caught up to speed before the next Monday Night Raw so you’re not left in the dark.
With that being said, here is a quick rundown of this week in WWE.
MONDAY NIGHT RAW
- Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman started the show with a promo about his title win at Day 1 and the upcoming No. 1 contender’s match.
- Alpha Academy defeated RK-Bro by pinfall.
- Dana Brooke and Reggie defeated Akira Tozawa and Tamina by pinfall to retain Brooke’s 24/7 Championship.
- Promo: Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair bickered. Morgan and Belair both want title shots.
- Carmella and Queen Zelina Vega defeated Super Brutality by pinfall.
- The Street Profits defeated Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez by pinfall.
- Doudrop is tired of the same people getting the title shots. Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville suggested a triple threat between Doudrop, Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair to determine who fights Becky at Royal Rumble.
- United States Championship Match: Damian Priest defeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall to retain the title.
- Vince McMahon told Austin Theory he’s in the Royal Rumble.
- The Miz and Maryse cut a promo about Day 1, which was interrupted by Beth Phoenix and Edge. Edge and Beth challenged them to a mixed tag team match at Royal Rumble, which The Miz accepted.
- Omos defeated AJ Styles by pinfall.
- Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender’s Match: Bobby Lashley defeated Big E, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins to earn a title shot against Brock Lesnar for Royal Rumble.
NXT NEW YEAR’S EVIL
- Title vs Title: NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes (c) defeated NXT Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong by pinfall to unify the titles.
- AJ Styles and Grayson Waller had a promo segment and set up a match for next week.
- Six-Man Tag Team Match: Riddle and MSK defeated Imperium by pinfall.
- NXT Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match: Mandy Rose (c) defeated Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez by pinfall to retain her title.
- NXT Championship Match: Bron Breakker defeated Tommaso Ciampa (c) by submission to win the title!
MAIN EVENT
- T-Bar defeated Dennis Daniels
- The Mysterios defeated Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin
NXT UK
- Ashton Carter and Oliver Smith defeated Symbiosis by pinfall.
- Sam Gradwell told Pretty Deadly they won’t get anywhere complaining and whining like babies.
- Vignette: Ilja Dragunov trains. He’s a real champion.
- Sha Samuels and Noam Dar broke down the odds about Dar’s next Heritage Cup defense. Samuels thinks it’ll be Dar winning 11-1.
- Die Familie is at full strength and will be going after the tag team titles.
- Xia Brookside defeated Myla Grace by pinfall.
- Dave Mastiff and Jack Starz are also gunning for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships.
- At the NXT UK Performance Center, Amale is approached by someone saying she’s an inspiration. Jinny then said Amale’s sob story is pathetic. Stevie Turner said Jinny kind of has a point.
- Next week will be WALTER’s last stand on NXT UK. His final match is against Nathan Frazer.
- NXT UK Women’s Championship Match: Meiko Satomura (c) defeated Blair Davenport by pinfall to retain the title.
FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN
- Promo: Roman Reigns said he missed a week and everything went to hell. He doesn’t want to see Brock Lesnar or Paul Heyman ever again. Heyman and Lesnar then came out. Lesnar challenged Reigns to a title-for-title match to give the people what they want. Reigns rejected the idea. Heyman vented how heartbroken he was that Reigns gave him the boot because he loved Reigns. Lesnar told Heyman to shut up. Reigns told Lesnar not to talk to Heyman like that. In the distraction, Reigns hit Lesnar with a Superman Punch and then walked off.
- Rick Boogs defeated Sami Zayn by pinfall.
- Johnny Knoxville was announced as officially qualifying for the 2022 Royal Rumble.
- Charlotte Flair cut a promo on how she plans to enter the Royal Rumble to pick her challenger. Many other participants were announced. Naomi came out to say she wants a title shot and slapped Flair, leading to a match. Flair defeated Naomi by pinfall/submission.
- Happy Talk saw Corbin and Madcap Moss making fun of Drew McIntyre for his neck injury. Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss then defeated The Viking Raiders by pinfall.
- Street Fight: The Usos defeated The New Day by pinfall to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

- Malik Blade defeated Draco Anthony by pinfall.
- Nikkita Lyons defeated Erica Yan by pinfall.
- Ikemen Jiro defeated Ru Feng by pinfall.
