Here are the full results for the episode of WWE RAW airing on May 8, 2023. WWE begins a tournament to crown the new World Heavyweight Champion. Cody Rhodes starts the show by telling us he beat Brock Lesnar, and the World Heavyweight title tournament begins now.
#1. [World Title Tournament 1st Round] Seth Rollins vs. Damien Priest vs. Shinsuke Nakamura — Winner: Seth Rollins
Imperium announces to everyone backstage that Gunther will be there next week. They interrupt Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens’ conversation, so they get told to come back in five minutes when they are done. Imperium does not deal with disrespect, so if they keep doing so, they will have to worry about their tag team titles. Zayn says that unlike The Usos, where it took months to come to an end, they can deal with this tonight in a match.
#2. Otis (w/ Maxxine Dupri & Chad Gable) vs. Mustafa Ali — Winner: Mustafa Ali
#3. [World Title Tournament 1st Round] The Miz vs. Finn Balor vs. Cody Rhodes — Winner: Finn Balor (with help from Brock Lesnar beating up Cody)
Brock Lesnar destroyed Cody Rhodes by putting him through a table. He gets a mic and asks what he wants to talk about. Lesnar wants to talk about himself. He tells Cody to look at the bruised face he lucked into. Brock wants to fight! At Night of Champions, he wants a fight. Who is the coward now? As he walks away, officials tend to Cody.
#4. Rhea Ripley (w/ Dominik Mysterio) vs. Dana Brooke — Winner: Rhea Ripley
Natalya confronts Ripley, but after Dom whispers in her ear, Ripley walks off without a care in the world.
Zoey Stark says she is amazing at what she does. These other women… hang on, it’s Nikki Cross. She will succeed because of weirdos like her. Stark challenges Cross for her first match on Raw. Nikki accepts.
#5. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. Imperium — Winners: Zayn & KO
Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville are seeking signatures to help get them a rematch for the tag team titles. They come across The Way, a stable formerly of NXT with Candice LeRae, Johnny Gargano, Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis. They don’t sign it because Lumis gives them a thumbs down.
#6. Zoey Stark vs. Nikki Cross — Winner: Zoey Stark
Backstage, Tozawa & Xavier Woods interrupt Rhea Ripley’s promo by laughing hysterically, so Dominik threatens Woods. After challenging him to a match, Ripley accepts on the behalf of her “Dom Dom”.
Becky Lynch is missing. Trish Stratus wants to tell us a story. There was a time when her daughter wanted an adorable doll and call it Becky Lynch. Stratus asked why she wanted to call her doll that, and she said it’s because she’s pretty. Becky’s music hits and she appears behind Trish. She hits a few moves before Trish runs away. Lynch says “The Man” has come around to kick her arse.
#7. Xavier Woods vs. Dominik Mysterio (w/ Rhea Ripley) — Winner: Dominik Mysterio with an assist from Mami
Jinder Mahal says they have waited patiently to deliver an unprecedented amount of pain, and shake the foundation of Monday Night Raw. Indus Sher have arrived.
The Miz still wants to team with Shinsuke Nakamura, but the King of Strong Style has other ideas. They will face each other next week and it will be awesome!
Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez catch up with Deville and Green. If they wanted a title match, all they had to do was ask. They sign their petition. But Deville & Green were not campaigning to get a match against them, because they assume Damage CTRL will beat them for the titles, and then they will face the new champions.
