We are just 24 hours away from SummerSlam, as Friday Night SmackDown emanates live tonight from Wright State University’s Nutter Center in Dayton, OH.

We’ll see the final words, the final exchanges, and the final punches fly ahead of ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer,’ as reigning WWE Women’s Champion Asuka, Charlotte Flair, and Bianca Belair will be in attendance ahead of their Triple Threat title match tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, LA Knight and Sheamus also will be in singles action tonight ahead of the Slim Jim Battle Royal in the Motor City.

Finally, Jey Uso is also advertised for tonight’s show, although it is quite safe to assume that Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman will indeed be lurking ahead of ‘Tribal Combat’ for the Undisputed Championship and the title of the ‘Tribal Chief’ in the main event of SummerSlam.

All this, and more, on tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown!

The MegaStar, LA Knight, is kicking off Friday Night SmackDown!! YEAHH!

#1. LA Knight vs. Sheamus – Winner: LA Knight

The O.C. and The Brawling Brutes are getting into a scuffle backstage, leading Adam Pearce to make a tah-team match official, and it’s next!

#2. Ridge Holland & Butch vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson – No Contest

A solid ag-team match came to a sudden halt as the tTreet Profits rushed the ring and laid out both teams. Bobby Lashley soon comes out as the crowd’s going nuts. Hurt Business 2.0?

We see an old-school vignette reminiscent of Ric Flair as Charlotte is seen on a yacht, discussing how she is unbeaten at SummerSlam, and that she’ll capture the WWE Women’s Championship tomorrow night.

Next up is the ‘The History Of Tribal Combat’ with Paul Heyman. Heyman comes out to a chorus of boos. He begins to play the crowd like the master he is, before proclaiming that we’ll never see Jimmy Uso ever again and it’s all on Jey. What happens to Jey tomorrow, though; well, that’ll be on Roman Reigns.

We see an incredible video package showcasing the history of ‘Tribal Combat’ – the sacred beads (mmkay…), the Samoan family’s heritage and legacy, and comments from the elders of the family like Rikishi, Afa, Sika, and more.

Heyman says that Jey Uso will never be the Tribal Chief, and that’s a spoiler. And tomorrow night, at SummerSlam…

Jey’s music hits. Uce talks about what he’s gonna do to Roman Reigns tomorrow night, before he says that with his ancestors’ spirit and blessings, he’ll beat Reigns to become the new Tribal Chief and the new Undisputed Champion.

Sole Sikoa theme hits, which means that now he’s out. He’s of course ready for a fight, which makes total sense cause he’s Solo. Heyman holds him back before Jey asks him to chill. Uso says that Solo is still his little brother and wants him to trust him. Jey has been in Sikoa’s position. Paul E. interrupts, telling Jey Uso that Sikoa ain’t buying it. Solo gives his trademark look to Paul, and I’m pretty sure he just wet his pants. Solo’s yelling at Heyman but gets with a Super Kick by Jey. Jey then tells Heyman off-mic to tell Roman he’ll see him tomorrow night. As for Solo, he’s see him in the main event.

Standing by backstage with Kayla Braxton is the United States Champion, Austin Theory. Theory mocks Santos Escobar for injuring his own idol, Rey Mysterio, last week. He dedicates next week’s victory over Escobar to Mysterio. He then issues a stern warning to Cameron Grimes ahead of their match.

#3. Austin Theory vs. Cameron Grimes – Winner: Austin Theory

Theory picked up a quick squash victory here, before he was attacked by Escobar, who’ll of course challenge for the Theory’s title on SmackDown next week.

We see an Asuka vignette ahead of her title defense tomorrow night.

“The Grayson Waller Effect” is hosting Bayley & Iyo SKy. After an elaborate and cringy entrance, Waller makes his entrance before introducing his guests. He mocks Bayley with “ding dong, hello!” He then plays a recording of Shotzi Blackheart’s sadistic laugh, scaring Bayley and again poking fun at her. Bayley yells at him, before Shotzi’s music hits. However, Shotzi instead comes up from behind. Bayley quickly retreats. As for who was driving the tank in Shotzi’s place, it was Zelina Vega. We head to a break…

******

#4. Iyo Sky vs. Zelina Vega – Winner: Zelina Vega

Bayley and Shotzi emerged brawling back into the arena, and as Shotzi had Bayley at her mercy, Bayley fleed again. The distraction was enough for Zelina to pick up the win.

******

#5. Jey Uso vs. Solo Sikoa – Winner: Jey Uso

Uso, willed on by Dayton (which is in Ohio by the way), picked up a monumental win over his brother. Just as he was celebrating, Sikoa attacks him. Jey, however, soon retailiates with a steel chair, and Michale Cole hypes up tomorrow night’s main evenr as the show comes to a close.
