We bring you coverage for the episode of WWE SmackDown airing on April 5, 2024.

We begin WrestleMania XL weekend with the Kevin Owens show. The host, Kevin Owens, introduces Randy Orton. They might be opponents in the triple threat for the United States Championship, but tonight, they both share a dislike and hatred for Logan Paul. He asks Orton what he thinks of Logan. Orton has to disagree… Oh, Logan Paul interrupts them. He is on the screen in front of the WrestleMania XL titantron.

He is two steps ahead of them. Logan is already at the venue, thinking about his victory. Kevin Owens says he is a pretty confident guy for someone who is just across the street. Orton & KO agree to leave the venue to go look for Paul, and not long after, Grayson Waller & Austin Theory appears from under the ring. They were likely to surprise attack Orton & Owens, but having not expected the pair leaving, they quickly go after them. KO finds a golf cart outside, and Orton sits on the back.

#1. [Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal] Ricochet, Omos, Pretty Deadly, Bronson Reed, Good Brothers, Angel, Berto, Ivar, Veer, Sanga, Jinder Mahal, LWO, Otis, Cameron Grimes, Creed Brothers, Tozawa, Apollo Crews, JD McDonagh, Credric Alexander & Ashante “Thee” Adonis

Winner: Bronson Reed

Logan Paul shows up at SmackDown. All he sees are idiots. Of course, they cheer for Kevin Owens & Randy Orton. Dummies like dummies. WWE has got him wrestling two of the dumbest dudes. You’re all looking at a mastermind. Right now, his associates are across the street about to lay an ambush on them. He has eyes on the scene, and this beatdown won’t be pretty. He points us to the screen. Theory & Waller are at the venue, but they can’t see them anywhere. Kevin Owens & Randy Orton appear from under the ring. Logan Paul tries to make a run for it, but is cut off by Owens. Logan Paul gets hit with a Stunner and the RKO!

Dragon Lee is found injured backstage after an attack, but it is not clear who assaulted him.

#2. Zelina Vega (w/ Rey Mysterio) vs. Elektra Lopez (w/ Legado Del Fantasma, Dominik Mysterio & Andrade) –  Winner: Elektra Lopez

Legado & Dominik attack Rey Mysterio… but Andrade suddenly attacks Legado! He shakes Rey Mysterio’s hand, and then gets a massive hug from his former manager, Zelina Vega.

Naomi & Bianca Belair make their way to the ring. Belair says she has the longest history with Damage CTRL. She has been fighting for her life every single week. It got so bad at one point that she wanted to give up, and then Naomi saved her. Damage CTRL has been doing too much for too long, and it is time to stop them.

Naomi said they needed each other to take them on, but it wasn’t enough. They weren’t expecting someone else to come through, and that is in the form of the newest SmackDown superstar, Jade Cargill. After her entrance, Jade says the big three are going to show why there is no Damage CTRL. They are now in the eye of The Storm.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio is told Dragon Lee won’t make it for WrestleMania. Andrade offers to be his tag team partner, and Mysterio accepts. Carlito shows up and is told the news. He seems to accept and encourage them to bring it to Legado.

#3. New Catch Republic vs. Grayson Waller & Austin Theory –  Winners: New Catch Republic

The Judgment Day rushes the ring and takes out both teams with their finishers.

LA Knight gets to the ring to talk to ya. He is feeling fresh. Ever since AJ Styles returned, he has been crying about him. Knight makes him interesting. At WrestleMania, everyone will know whose game this is. Yeah!

#4. Jey Uso vs. Solo Sikoa (w/ Jimmy Uso) –  Winner: Jey Uso via DQ

Jimmy Uso attacked Jey Uso before he could get the pin on Solo Sikoa. The Bloodline double team on Jey, but just as they are about to hit the Samoan Spike, Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins make the save. Rhodes has his own belt to whip with. Both he and Rollins gets some whips in, before Jey finishes Jimmy with a splash. Cody Rhodes grabs a microphone.

40 years of WrestleMania. Can you feel that? Talk about pressure. They are going to slap the Final Boss, The Rock, so hard that his ego lifts so far out of his soul that he remembers what it was like to be the People’s Champion. And then, on Sunday, he is going to dethrone Roman Reigns. Whenever one good story ends, a better one begins.
