In this article, we will be taking a trip back in time to look back on various historic WWE tag teams. We will examine each of the partners and find who was the “weak link” or “worse partner”. So get ready, sit back, relax and enjoy this short little blog.
The Brothers of Destruction
One of the most dominant tag teams in wrestling history, The Undertaker and Kane are known as the “Brothers of Destruction”. Multiple time tag champs, the BOD most recently competed in a match at Survivor Series 2015 and defeated the Wyatt family.
But who’s the weak link?
Both men are extremely accomplished as singles competitors.
Kane is a Money in the Bank winner, Tag Team Champion, World Heavyweight Champion, WWE Champion, and more. The Undertaker is a multi-time World Champion, Royal Rumble Winner, had a 21 match win streak at Wrestlemania to compliment his countless other accolades.
The thing that separates The Undertaker from Kane is the gimmick and wrestling style. The Undertaker is more accomplished and has done more for the business than Kane. Undertaker also has one of the best gimmicks in wrestling history, if not the best. Kane is great, (Maybe not so much anymore thanks to some awful booking) but The Undertaker truly revolutionalized the business.
The weak link is Kane.

Edge and Christian
Team E&C was voted the greatest team in WWE history by WWE.com. Both superstars were World Champions. Edge, being a multi-time champion. Edge has also won Money in the Bank, the Royal Rumble, and the IC Title. They both won Tag Titles multiple times and competed in various matches of the year candidates and winners. Once again though, who is the weak link?
Christian is an accomplished singles competitor… But nothing compared to Edge. Edge has won every single WWE Title, which puts him high above Christian. Though both superstars are great, there is a winner and a loser.
Weak Link- Christian

The Hardy Boyz
A fan favorite, multi-time World Tag Team Champions, the Hardy Boyz are one of the greatest and most extreme tag teams in all of wrestling. Fans love both of these guys but Jeff Hardy turned out to be a little bit more successful than Matt did. I think that was because of the hardcore things that Jeff did during his first tenure with the company. These things include, but aren’t limited to: Jumping off ladders, jumping through ladders, tables, chairs, flips, and more.
Weak Link- Matt Hardy

The Dudley Boys
One of my personal favorite tag teams, the Dudley Boys are easily one of the most entertaining teams in wrestling’s long history. The Dudley Boys happen to be the most decorated tag team in WWE and wrestling history with 23 tag titles! Anyways, when I look at the Dudley boys, I am pretty torn as to who is the better Dudley. In the end however, Bubba is the leader and D’Von is the sidekick. Not in a bad way, but I think Bubba just eeks out the win here.

The Rockers
The Rockers, when together, were a pretty decorated and well liked team. But the second HBK sent Marty’s head through the barber shop window, everyone instantly knew Shawn Micheals was going to be a star. Marty went on to be fairly successful, but Shawn Michaels went on to be arguably the greatest wrestler ever.
