Becky Lynch’s Survivor Series Absence Could Be A Positive

After hearing the news that WWE pulled the Becky Lynch-Ronda Rousey Survivor Series match due to Becky Lynch’s broken nose and concussion she had sustained on RAW last night, it was unfortunate, as that was one of the matches most were seemingly looking forward to. Sometimes in sad, gloomy situations, there are positive bits and pieces to take out of it, and this is one of those situations. Sure, Survivor Series is a big enough event to hold this match, but now WWE is in a prominent and ideal position to put more thought and build into this rivalry.

I don’t know what plans are in place for Sunday now that Becky is unavailable. Will a SmackDown competitor simply replace Becky, or is Ronda Rousey now declared absent from the show altogether as well? We’ll see. But as far as this feud goes in the near future, despite it being rumoured that Charlotte is positioned to win it, you could easily have Becky win the Royal Rumble in January and choose to face Ronda at WrestleMania for the RAW Women’s Championship. That as if she somehow has to relinquish the SmackDown Women’s Championship or loses it at TLC beforehand.  Or another route they could go is just having them face off at the Royal Rumble event itself.

There are a plethora of things you could do obviously, and it all depends on how legitimate and serious Becky’s condition is, but a match at WrestleMania, on the bigger stage, pitting Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch, could work out rather well. It would allow them more time to build this match and get even more people to care for it.

That’s my rather brief thoughts at the moment. Curious to see when this showdown will happen now that it’s off the Survivor Series card.
