Talent Jumping Ships
One Critism TNA has had over the years is that they push former WWE guys over TNA breed wrestlers. Although that may be true, Most of the Better moments from the company have been from TNA originals like Samoa Joe, Aj Styles, and Christopher Daniels.
However, like with ECW back in the day, the lost of big original names have over time hurt the promotion. In ECW , when Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerreo, and Chris Beniot left it left a hole in fans hearts. Same now with TNA, loyal TNA fans now have no passion to watch with most of TNA’s star players gone
Talent not getting Paid
So why do talent leave? Shane Douglas did a interview a few years back where he claimed ECW Stars weren’t getting payment. Hmmm sound familiar?
Whether or not you like it, pro wrestling is a business. I don’t want to go out and break up my body and take bumps, for free. Wrestlers work for the money.
TNA has, whether they want people to know of not, not paid a lot of their talent. And in a time were the internet puts out all of your kayfab information that is something that will definitely hurt your business. For one, it looks like you can not pay your employees. And two, if you can’t pay your employees how ultimately can you support your product
Unhappy Network
Then it leads to this, in my opinion the number one comparison that shows TNA May Suffer the same as ECW, network isn’t happy.
Paul Heyman said in Stone Cold’s uncensored podcast that he feels ECW went down the drain because his TV deal got cancelled. And that makes since!
You can have the best wrestlers in the world performing the best matches ever. But if no one sees it, does it matter? Now this is the cross roads in the comparison between TNA and ECW. TNA has been given an ultimatum and that is. Impress the officials or be cancelled. Easier said the. Done. What can they do now?
When your going up against WWE that is going to kill you, I think if TNA wants to remain a active promotion they need to stop focusing on being WWE’s competition. ROH, NJPW, and Lucha Underground are successful because they don’t care about WWE, they just wrestle.
Look at the past, WCW and ECW went against WWE and WWE owns them both now. Look, I don’t want to see the end for TNA but unless they change We will be seeing ‘The rise ….and FALL… Of TNA
