As noted, WWE is interested in signing current Ring of Honor Champion Jay Lethal when his contract with ROH expires, which is soon. WWE would put Lethal in NXT if they were able to sign him.
Lethal took part in an “Ask Me Anything” Q&A on Reddit Thursday afternoon and was asked if WWE has contacted him yet about signing with the company.
Lethal replied, “No.”
It should be noted that WWE will most likely wait until Lethal is a free agent to discuss a potential deal.
Lethal faces A.J. Styles at Ring of Honor’s Final Battle PPV event on December 18th.
