UPDATE x 2: Yesterday we reported that WWE had run into issues with the “Submission Sorority” name and was considering changing it. The company chose the name for Charlotte, Paige and Becky Lynch without realizing that there is an adult video series of that name from BangBros, and was considering changing the name to something different.

Now that’s officially come to pass. TMZ has confirmed that WWE has dropped the name, instead opting for “PCB.” Charlotte also made reference to the new name yesterday on Twitter, posting:

UPDATE: On Monday night, WWE debuted the name “Submission Sorority” for Paige, Becky Lynch and Charlotte. As noted earlier, it looks as if the name will be changed. WWE found out that the name was associated with a porn site, and the name may be changed to the “Submission Sisters”. They have toyed with the “Horsewomen” name, but they do not want to step on Ronda Rousey’s toes by using the name.

TMZ has also picked up the story, noting that the search for the team points you to tons of links for a porn series called HazeHer, produced by BangBros. The article ads that BangBros traffic analyst Delilah Mcginnis says their web traffic shot up 56% overnight, and they saw a 35% rise in subscriptions. They plan to send Vince McMahon a thank you gift basket which I’m sure he’ll be just thrilled with!

ORIGINAL: WWE gave the trio of Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch a team name on Monday’s edition of RAW, similar to Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina being called “Team B.A.D.” and the team of Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox being called “Team Bella.”

“The Submission Sorority,” the team name for the babyface trio, is also the name of an adult website, something WWE quickly found out about after mentioning the name on RAW this past Monday night.

WWE is already talking about changing the name of the group to “The Submission Sisters.”

There were some discussions about giving the group the name “Horsewomen,” however the belief was that it could be seen as stepping on Ronda Rousey’s toes, and/or be a blatant ripoff of a pretty well established name.
