ROH Survival of the Fittest 2017: Punishment Martinez
In 2017, the Survival of the Fittest Tournament winner would be Punishment Martinez. Martinez would defeat Jay Lethal in his tournament qualifying match. He would go on to defeat Flip Gordon, Silas Young, Jonathan Gresham, Shane Taylor, and Matt Taven to win the Survival of the Fittest Tournament. However, he would come up short in his match at ROH Wrestling #334 against then-ROH World Champion Dalton Castle. Martinez would never end up holding the ROH World Championship.
In 2018, Martinez would sign with World Wrestling Entertainment and be assigned to WWE NXT. He would be renamed “Damien Priest.” He would go on to win the NXT North American Championship during his stint on the brand. He would make his WWE main roster debut at the 2021 Royal Rumble match. The following night, he would make his debut on Raw. He would align himself with Grammy-winning recording artist Bad Bunny. He would carry Bad Bunny to a WrestleMania 37 victory in a tag team match against The Miz and John Morrison.
Damien Priest is currently signed to WWE where he competes under the Raw brand in singles competition.
