WWE issued the following statement on the reported injury of former U.S. Champion Rusev, the injury took place at this week’s WWE Main Event TV taping’s.
“Rusev sustained a proximal bicep tendon rupture during his match with Neville at the WWE Main Event taping’s Tuesday night, WWE.com can confirm.”
The match was called off due to the injury, and the former U.S. Champion’s recovery time is currently slated at three to four weeks. It seems unlikely he will be wrestling at this year’s WWE Survivor Series PPV on November 22nd depending on how well he recovers.
