AEW World Trios Champions Death Triangle vs. The Elite was booked at this year’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
Omega and PAC started things off. Nick and Rey were next in and did spots that they knew they were going to do so a lot of reversals. The Bucks, Penta, and Rey traded head kicks that popped the crowd. The Bucks laid them out with super kicks. Nick hit an outside dive to take out PAC. PAC took out Omega’s left knee. Omega with a german suplex to Penta and PAC. Matt with a springboard DDT onto the apron to Rey. Nick with a springboard hurricanrana to Penta off the top rope to the floor. Omega with a neck breaker for 2. Death Triangle with a triple tombstone. Omega hit the V-Trigger to Rey then Tiger Driver 98 for 2. Penta with a slingblade to The Elite. However, The Elite hit Rey with their finisher for 2. Nick hit PAC with a super kick then hit an outside dive. Matt with a moonsault off the top rope to the floor. Omega with the V-Trigger to Rey then went for the Tiger Driver, but Rey hit him in the head with the hammer for the win.
