On a recent edition of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T reacted to the recent meeting between Shane McMahon and AEW President Tony Khan, and McMahon potentially joining WWE’s rival promotion.

On Shane McMahon meeting with Tony Khan: “Nothing surprises me in this business, it really doesn’t. Could I believe that Tony Khan reached out to Shane McMahon perhaps for some expert knowledge, expertise, perhaps a way to run the business? I could see that. It’s all about trying to move to the next level. Does Shane McMahon need a check? I don’t think so.”
On McMahon still wanting to wrestle: “But I still think in life, you don’t want to just hang up the boots when you don’t have to. If you can still be a part of something that you love and somebody’s gonna pay you a whole lot of money to do it, you gonna pick the check up no matter how much money you got in the bank. It’s not smart to leave money on the table, that’s just me. So, I definitely could see something like that happening. It’s not something that’s unbelievable… This business, there’s always gonna be something that we’re gonna be talking about. So for me, I’m not surprised one bit. This is something that we’ve been hearing about for quite some time, though… I’m not surprised, not one bit.”
