Kenny Omega would love to see some of the very top names currently signed to WWE perform in the annual G1 Climax tournament.
On a recent “Twitch” stream, Omega was asked about the round-robin tournament and who he’d like to see participate on behalf of WWE. He said,
“I’ve said it before, I’ve said it a million times. Ilja Dragunov would be the best guy to have. He just embodies that style… GUNTHER in the G1 would be exactly who’d you want to see. You’d have to see something like that. And being a fan of Seth [Rollins, I’d love to see him compete.]”
The possibility of WWE talent in the G1 Climax is more likely than ever, as Nick Khan is reportedly very open to WWE forming working relationships with other promotions.
Omega hasn’t competed for AEW since late 2023. He is currently recovering from a battle with diverticulitis and there is no word on when he will return.
