Sue Aitchison has reportedly been let go by WWE, bringing an end to her nearly four-decade tenure with the wrestling promotion.

Aitchison’s exit was first reported by Pwinsider. She had been with the company since March 1986 and was the Director of Community Relations.

In 2019, Aitchison received the WWE Hall of Fame’s Warrior Award for her work with the company and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

During her speech introducing Aitchison at that year’s Hall of Fame ceremony, Stephanie McMahon said,

“Sue has dedicated her entire career to helping Wish kids fulfill their dreams and putting smiles on countless families’ faces. Her heart and character epitomize the essence of the Warrior Award. She is an unsung hero who deserves to be recognized and immortalized in the WWE Hall of Fame.”

Aitchison played a pivotal role in building WWE’s partnership with Make-A-Wish and was honored with the Chris Greicius Award in 2006 and 2016.

While her work was off-camera, Aitchison played the ‘Duchess of Queensbury’ for the William Regal vs. Chris Jericho ‘Duchess of Queensbury Rules’ match at Backlash 2001.
